For over 18 years, the Orange County Convention Center has served its visitors as
a venue for both cultural and business events. During that time span the facility
has undergone four extensive expansion periods with plans for the fifth scheduled
to open in 2003 making it one of the nation's ten largest convention centers.
The OCCC is located 11 miles southwest of downtown Orlando in the middle
of Orange County's tourism core. The Convention Center is within walking distance
of more than 6,000 hotel rooms, and within 45 minutes driving distance to more
than 86,000 hotel rooms in the Orlando metropolitan area.
