Located in the heart of thriving downtown Houston, the George R. Brown Convention Center is the City's premier convention venue. Officially opened in 1987, this spectacular facility was named after the late entrepreneur, civic leader and philanthropist, George R. Brown (1898-1983), in recognition of his donation of land for the development of the GRB. Brown was internationally known and one of Houston's most prominent citizens.

The high-tech look of the facility symbolizes its devotion to function and was intended to reflect the City's futuristic attitude. From sub-floor utility pockets and state-of-the-art audio visual equipment to deluxe seating and spacious meeting rooms, the GRB is packed with everything you need to make your convention a success!
